Austin and Emily have one of the sweetest stories ever! They have been together for over 7 years, they've known that they have wanted to get married for a long time, and they haven't even graduated college yet! Emily is a nursing student and Austin is studying Pharmacy. They attend the same school and love spending time with each other. Austin said at our session, "we've already been together longer than most marriages!" We talked during our session about how relationships only last when they are based on commitment and not feelings only! For a couple so young they definitely have wisdom beyond their years and I'm sure will be blessed with a lifetime of happiness because of it!Read More
I met Joanna and Isaiah independently from each other while I was in college. I met Isaiah first because we were the same major! When I came back from grad school, I struck up a friendship with Joanna and heard that they were dating! I was so happy that the two of them found each other! Most of Joanna and Isaiah's relationship was long distance, so Joanna and I would often chat about the difficulties of long distance relationships. After the wedding, Joanna kept jumping up and down and exclaiming, "we're married!!" They were just so happy to finally be together. No more Starbucks Skype Dates. No more longing to be with the person you love that's thousands of miles away. They were finally married and together!!!Read More

This post has been a long time coming. I started pursuing photography as a hobby in late 2008 when I got my first DSLR camera. Up until that point, I'd always thought I would be a piano major because I had been studying piano for 10 years. I started taking photos of friends and concerts for fun and I love it! I thought maybe I'd be a photojournalist, so I started looking into communications degrees.Read More
There were so many special moments at this wedding. Since Alexandra and Chase decided on an evening wedding, we were able to capture the most beautiful sunset portraits! On a typical wedding day, my portrait time with the couple is in the morning or during the afternoon, so it is such a treat when we get to have our whole portrait session during golden hour! We were blessed with such beautiful weather and a gorgeous sunset. One of my favorite moments was the dance between Alexandra and her dad. Alexandra's mother's family is from Mexico, and they are all such superb dancers! What started out as a typical sweet dance between father and daughter turned into a high-energy choreographed dance! The guests loved it!Read More
Sam & Susie were married on July 15! I met Susie at her sister's wedding that I photographed last year (you can find Becky & Patrick's post here). I absolutely loved getting to work with her family again and have to admit that I'm pretty sad there aren't anymore Heiser sisters for me to photograph!
Their personalities came through in little fun touches throughout the day! Their guestbook was a bench with their initial on it, instead of champagne they opted for cream soda in honor of their first date, and they had a confetti exit (don't worry, it was biodegradable)! The sweetest touch of all was that the buttons on the back of Susie's dress were handmade by her great grandmother for her grandmother's wedding! I am so excited for them to see this blog post, and to share it with all of you! Congratulations Sam & Susie!Read More
I had the awesome opportunity to photograph this fabulous reception in Downtown Greenville for my former cello teacher, Laura, and her new hubs, JT. Laura is half of the cello and guitar duo, WireWood. If you've been to a lot of weddings in Greenville, I'm sure you've heard them! This time it was Laura's turn to celebrate, and celebrate she did! The food was incredible, the florals were superb, the music was stellar, and the party was epic!
Since Laura plays for so many weddings, I'm sure she knows that nothing is more awkward than a dance floor with only 5-10 people dancing while everyone else sits around! She made sure that didn't happen! She dragged all of her friends and family onto the dance floor, sometimes against their will, all with a huge smile on her face. It made for some of the most fun dancing I've ever seen at a reception! I loved how she made sure all of her friends felt welcome and involved!Read More
I'm in love with this shoot from the SC Botanical Garden and the Walker Golf Course Dock! Alexandra and Chase have such a sweet love story. They've been friends for years and years and started writing letters to each other before they were even dating. The best part of our shoot was that they brought some of those letters along and posed with them in front of the lake. It was the sweetest! I have to admit, I even shed a tear because Chase's letters to Alexandra are so sweet! Enjoy these photos from their engagement session!Read More
Kaleigh & Ryan's Wedding on Saturday was absolutely stunning! Greene Acres is a magical event space in Honea Path, SC. It's becoming one of my favorites! I loved how Kaleigh & Ryan's families all seemed to be having such a BLAST celebrating their big day. They even went out of their way to make a space just for the all the kids that would be at the reception. Candy, Goldfish, and coloring sheets!
I loved interacting with Kaleigh and her bridesmaids. They were so fun! Check out the girls flowers: STUNNING. And Kaleigh's dress? It was custom made for her in Bulgaria. She found it on Pinterest and said, "I want that one!" Talk about every girl's dream!Read More
When Emily texted me the day before the wedding and let me know that Matt's brother, Josh, unexpectedly passed away at 25-years-old, I was crushed for them. They are the sweetest couple you will ever meet, and they were so excited for their wedding day. It doesn't seem fair to have such a tragedy happen to them. Sometimes God sends trials that don't make any sense at all. They were left with a decision to make. Should they continue with the wedding as planned? Emily said it herself, "How do you walk forward with this?" To make such a huge choice in the midst of an awful tragedy must have been daunting.Read More
Brian & Jocie are the absolute sweetest people I've ever met! I had such a fabulous time photographing their wedding. Nestled in the rolling hills of Bath, NY, Jocie was married at her home church with her precious father serving as the officiant. Brian's father is also a pastor, so he was able to have a part in the ceremony as well. The whole day was a beautiful picture of love and happiness! One of my favorite touches about the wedding were the girl's bouquets! They were paper flowers, made to mimic the paper flowers Brian gave to Jocie when he asked her to be his girlfriend. Now here they are experiencing their happily ever after! I was so honored to be a part of the wonderful day!Read More
I just love these two. They were so laid back the entire day, and their style is oh so romantic. Olivia could not keep a smile off of her face all day!! She and Luke are some of the most genuine people you will ever meet; they truly made their guests feel welcome. Olivia is from Australia, and Luke is from the States, and they met in college on a mission team to Antigua. How cool is that?! God's providence is amazing. Olivia's family came all the way from Australia to Greer, SC to celebrate with them!Read More
Wow! It's been a while since I've posted an engagement session on the blog! Life has been a little hectic, so my blogging hasn't been as active in posting my e-sessions. That ends today! Check out this beautiful morning engagement session I had with Kristin and Mike at Furman back in March. The weather was perfect, and I am totally digging the morning light we got to take advantage of! Kristin & Mike were fun to work with and I enjoyed getting to know them, especially Mike's sense of humor. He was cracking jokes all day. I loved it! I can't wait for their wedding in September!Read More
Ryan and Lyndsey chose to tie the knot on the brand new rooftop garden at The Upper Room in Greenville, SC. Since I got to hang out with them during their engagement session, I was super pumped when their wedding day came along. Lyndsey is a teacher, and she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! She is warm and inviting, so bubbly, and her smile lights up the room! She had to be one of the most relaxed brides I've ever seen, and she was so beautiful!Read More
I've known Melissa since I was 6 years old. We've been through many birthday parties, sleepovers, game nights, and camping trips. As adults, we get together every so often with our friends over coffee and lunch. In high school and through adulthood, it's always been Jacob. It was only ever Jacob. As the officiant of their wedding said, watching Melissa and Jacob together is like watching an old married couple. They are the cutest! This was absolutely one of my favorite weddings that I've ever been a part of because they are such a dear couple. Their bridal party photos were also just so fun because they were definitely one of the happiest couples I've ever photographed too! Their joy was genuine and their laughter was sweet.Read More
Kara & Travis had a small wedding earlier this year and spent their honeymoon in Hawaii. They decided to throw a big party this weekend to celebrate! It was so much fun! Kara put on her wedding dress again, she and Travis had their closest friends in their party, and they celebrated like it was their wedding day all over again! I loved hanging out with the girls in the morning. They were so chill and had a lot of fun just being together! Since there wasn't the added nerves of a wedding ceremony, everyone was super relaxed and had an absolute blast! I loved seeing Kara and Travis together. Travis is such a sweetheart and treats Kara like a princess. He absolutely adores Kara!! She was beaming all day long! I wish them the best!Read More
I had the absolute best time this past Saturday at Natasha & AJ's sweet wedding at Clemson Presbyterian Church. Throughout the day, Natasha was giddy with excitement that she was about to marry the love of her life. I'd never met AJ before, so I saw them together for the first time during the ceremony. Natasha was completely herself when she was with him! They were so comfortable together that I only had to give simple instructions here and there during their portrait session because they were so great at just being together! I just loved being a part of their joy-filled day!Read More
Emily & Logan were married this past weekend at the beautiful Ocean Course on Kiawah Island. Even though the weather was cold and windy, Emily & Logan couldn't have been happier. Emily's smile lights up every room she enters, and the love she and Logan share is contagious! I am obsessed with the bridesmaids dresses and their elegant purple scarves. I gotta hand it to those ladies for braving 34 degree weather for the few minutes we were outside!! I loved working with this bridal party because they were all so much fun! There were so many sweet details throughout the day that were so Emily & Logan. For example, the girls flowers were all modeled after the first flowers that Logan ever got emily. How sweet!! And can we talk about how fabulous that food looks?! The catering was done by the Kiawah Island Resort, and it was absolutely stunning. I snuck a couple bites of cake, and oh. my. word. I died and went to heaven. Major props to the chef! The best part of the day had to be the stunning sunset that we experienced moments after the ceremony. If we had been two minutes later, we would have missed the whole thing! They were so overjoyed to be married and to be in one of their favorite places on earth. I am so happy for Emily & Logan! I hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as I enjoyed capturing them.Read More
It's not too often that I get to photograph a senior!!! Most of my time is spent doing weddings and engagements, so I love when I'm able to branch out and photograph seniors too! I've known Beka pretty much her whole life! Her family attends my church, and I've gotten to see her grow from a sweet little girl to a beautiful young woman. It was such an honor to be able to do these photos for her!
Beka grew up in Greer and attended Greer High School, so Downtown Greer was the perfect backdrop for our session. We explored some of my favorite spots and her favorite spots for this super fun shoot! I hope you enjoy the photos! Best wishes to Beka as she makes big college decisions this coming year!Read More
Sassafras mountain is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shoot! I am in love with these photos from Emily & Matt's engagement session. They were so much fun to photograph, seriously! They were super laid back and easy to work with, and just look at how excited they are to be getting married! I can't wait for their wedding this summer!Read More
